Keap Pricing and Plans: How to Pick the Best Paid Plan For You?

Keap has three pricing plans — Ignite, Grow, and Scale — with a base cost of $299, $399, and $599 monthly, respectively. Alternatively, you can choose an annual plan and get 17% off, saving up to $1,200 annually.

The best part about Keap’s plans is they all access the same features at different usage limits. Plus, new users who sign up with my exclusive link (below) get Keap’s 14-day free trial.

I compared Keap’s plans for insights on how best to select one. Spoiler alert: it’s not wholly dependent on business size.

Key Takeaways

  • Keap has three main base plans that start from $299 per month.
  • You can modify each Keap plan to suit your business needs and get custom pricing.
  • You can save between $600 and $1200 on Keap’s annual plans.

How Much Does Keap Cost?

Keap’s pricing ranges from $299 to $599 per month. However, you can customize these base plans by adding more user seats and additional contacts.

Here’s an overview of all the tiers and how much you can save with the yearly plans:

Pricing Tier Monthly Plan Yearly Plan Yearly Savings (Minimum) Best Price
Ignite From $299 From $249 monthly $600 Get Here
Grow From $399 From $329 monthly $840 Get Here
Scale From $599 From $499 monthly $1,200 Get Here

What Features Are Available on Keap Plans?

Keap offers all features to users on all plans but with tiered usage limits.

In other words, you can access the same CRM, marketing, sales, operations, support and admin management tools on all plans.

Hence, it is easier for businesses to get all the tools they need while scaling as their needs increase.

However, the onboarding and user support you get when setting up a new Keap account depends on your pricing tier. I’ve used the table below to explain this better.

Creating a new Keap account is pretty straightforward. You can follow the steps below:

  1. Visit the Keap website via my exclusive link to get the best prices.
  2. Select “Try free.”
  1. Enter your business email address. Using a non-business address (such as GMail) may limit the email marketing features you enjoy with Keap. Click “Next.”
  1. Then, fill in the required details, accept the terms of use, and click “Start my free trial.”
  1. Finally, fill in the follow-up form asking for a few business details and click “Submit.”

Now, your part is done. A Keap support agent will email you to help you set up your new Keap account for free.

Which Keap Plan Should You Choose?

The size of your business doesn’t best determine the Keap plan you choose.

On the contrary, the most important factors to consider when picking a plan are the size of your customer list, the number of admins to have personalized access to the software, and the number of marketing automation campaigns you want to run in the CRM.

Therefore, choose the Ignite plan if your customer list is less than 1500 and you don’t need a lot of automation yet. This plan is best for small businesses that are still building their customer list.

Once you have a sizable customer list, it’s time to pick the Grow plan. You get 2x the automations on Ignite, can manage at least 2,500 contacts, and have 3 users/admins on the account.

Finally, that leaves the Scale plan, which is best for a bigger business with an extensive customer contact list that needs more marketing automation and extra seats for admins.

Fortunately, you can maximize each tier by customizing the number of users and contacts you want, as long as you don’t want more automations.

For example, as in the screenshot above, I modified my Ignite plan to support 3 users and 2,500 contacts—the same as Grow—but at a lower cost. The main difference is the extra 5 automations I won’t get. So, it is worth considering if the trade-off makes sense for your business needs.

What Add-Ons Can You Get on Keap Plans?

Keap add-ons help maximize a plan’s limits for specific features. They include extra users, contacts, and text messages.

These are all the add-ons you can get for your Keap plan and how much they cost.

Add-on Monthly Cost Yearly Cost
Users $39 per extra user $32 per extra user
Contacts $36 per 1,000 (decreases as you add more) $28.83 per 1,000 (decreases as you add more)
1:1 Text messages $6 for 500 texts N/A
Local phone number $10 N/A

Even though automated text messages and text broadcasts are included in Keap’s original pricing tiers, you can only send up to 500 messages and speak with customers for up to 100 minutes.

So, here are the monthly tiers for sending additional texts to customers.

  Tier 1 Tier 2 Tier 3 Tier 4 Tier 5 Tier 6
Monthly price Included in plan $24 $39 $79 $139 $279
Text messages 500 1,000 2,500 5,000 10,000 25,000
Number of minutes 100 300 500 800 1,000 2,000

How to Save on Your Keap Plans?

Keap pricing plans quickly compound as your contact list grows. So, how do you save on your plan while also getting the most out of the software?

Here are my exclusive tips:

Try Keap for Free First

Using Keap’s free trial first lets you see whether the app will fit your business well before committing to a paid plan.

The trial period can also be used to learn your way around the software’s tools so you can dive straight into using them once you pick a plan. That way, you don’t have to waste some of your paid subscription time learning the tool or setting it up for your business.

Pick an Annual Plan

Keap’s yearly plans offer 17% off their corresponding monthly plans.

That translates into annual savings of $600 to $1200. You can grab one via my exclusive Keap sign-up link to lock in the offer.

Consider Add-Ons Before Upgrading to a Higher Plan

While it may seem like a no-brainer to upgrade once you exceed a plan’s limits, you can get add-ons depending on what you need extra.

For instance, if you think the Grow plan is ideal for your business but need more contact allowance, you can pay for extra contacts instead of upgrading to Scale.

Does Keap Have a Free Trial?

Yes, Keap offers a 14-day free trial, and no credit card is required. The free trial isn’t tied to any plan, but you’ll have to pick one at the end of the period to continue using the software. Also, you must submit a form and wait for a personal link from a support agent to get the free trial.

While Keap’s free trial offers access to most paid features, there are a few limitations.

For instance, you’re limited to sending 25 emails to customers during the trial period. This is implemented to ensure users don’t abuse the trial period.

Can I Cancel a Keap Pricing Plan at Any Time?

Yes, you can cancel your Keap pricing plan anytime by submitting a cancellation request to the support team at 1-866-800-0004.

However, to avoid a billing error, you must cancel your plan at least ten days before the next billing period. This gives the support team enough time to process your cancellation request.

Remember that if you cancel an annual plan before the one-year term is up, Keap will charge you a $299 early termination fee.

Does Keap Have Any Hidden Fees?

Keap has no hidden fees on its main software or add-ons. However, it charges extra fees for late payments, yearly account cancellations, and chargebacks.

If you miss a payment by up to 15 days, Keap could charge an extra $30 on top of the original pricing. And if you initiate a chargeback, Keap will charge you $50. In addition, Keap retains the right to charge you a 1.5% (or maximum legally allowable limit) monthly interest on unpaid charges.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

No, Keap doesn’t have a free version of its software. However, it has a 14-day free trial for all new users, which you can access without a credit card. Simply submit your info and wait for a signup link from an agent.

Is Keap Worth It?

Yes! Keap offers many prebuilt marketing and sales automation tools for connecting with customers and driving sales. Its personalized onboarding support for all users makes the software even more worthwhile.

Moreover, if you sign up with my exclusive discount link, you can try Keap’s features for 14 days without adding card details. Then, after your free trial, picking an annual plan can save you up to $1200.
