RevenueGeeks.com ("RevenueGeeks", "we") is an independent review site for ecommerce software. We earn commissions through affiliate links. This policy explains what personal data we process when you use the site, why, and the choices you have. Questions: info (@) revenuegeeks.com.
What we collect
- Contact form. Your name, email address and message. We use them only to reply. Messages are delivered to our inbox by our email provider and are not added to any marketing list.
- Newsletter and email deals. If you subscribe to our newsletter or request a discount code by email, we store your email address with our email marketing provider (MailerLite) to send you what you asked for. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Usage data. IP address, approximate location, device and browser details, the pages you view and the links you click. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies by the analytics and advertising tools listed below.
- Affiliate clicks. When you click a deal link, we log the click (page, link, time and technical details) so the partner can attribute a commission to us. The partner site you land on sets its own cookies under its own policy.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used, and advertising pixels from Google Ads, Meta (Facebook), Microsoft, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Reddit and Quora to measure and improve our marketing.
If you are in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, these tools stay off until you accept them through our cookie banner, and you can reject them there with one click. In other regions they run by default. Why we process data (legal bases)
Consent (the cookie banner in Europe, the newsletter), our legitimate interest in running, securing, improving and marketing the site (including affiliate commission attribution), and compliance with legal obligations.
Who we share data with
Service providers that run parts of the site for us: hosting, email delivery, the consent banner and the analytics and advertising tools named above. Affiliate networks and partners receive click data when you use our deal links. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose data if the law requires it.
International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside the EEA (for example in the United States). Such transfers rely on recognized safeguards like the EU standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep data
Only as long as needed for the purposes above. For example, you stay on the newsletter list until you unsubscribe, and contact messages are kept only while we handle them.
Your rights
If the GDPR applies to you, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, restrict or export your personal data, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw consent at any time.
