Stan Store Pricing: The Flat $29 Is Real, the Catch Is Stripe

Stan Store costs $29 per month on Creator or $99 on Creator Pro, and it takes 0% of your sales on both plans. You still pay Stripe or PayPal processing at 2.9% plus $0.30, so a creator selling $2,900 a month keeps $2,756.90. Annual billing drops the plans to $300 and $948 a year. Stan Store plans: Creator vs Creator Pro

Stan Store sells two plans. Creator costs $29 per month or $300 per year, an effective $25 per month. Creator Pro costs $99 per month or $948 per year, an effective $79. Both include unlimited products, customers, and storage, and both start with a 14-day free trial.

The only fee is the processor’s

Stan charges no transaction fee on any plan. Every sale runs through your own Stripe or PayPal account, which takes the standard 2.9% plus $0.30 per card payment. On a $29 product that is $1.14, or 3.9% of the sale, and it goes to the processor, not Stan.

Two Stripe-side details matter. Subscriptions and memberships add Stripe Billing’s own 0.7% fee on top of card processing. And because the Stripe account is yours, payouts, refunds, and disputes follow Stripe’s rules, not Stan’s, so a refund still costs you the original processing fee.

What you keep at three sizes

These totals come from the calculator above on monthly billing: the $29 Creator fee plus card processing. The flat fee stings at tiny volume and disappears at scale, which is the whole trade Stan is offering.

Annual billing shaves a little more: the middle example drops from $143.10 to $139.10 in monthly costs, so you keep $2,760.90.

Where the flat $29 beats the 10% platforms

A flat subscription beats a revenue cut once volume covers it. Selling a $25 product, Stan’s total monthly cost passes Patreon’s 10% take at about 12 sales, or $300 of revenue. From $500 a month, Stan costs $49.50 against Patreon’s $70.50 and Gumroad’s $80.50.

Honesty requires the other direction too. Whop undercuts Stan at every size we tested: its 2.7% plus $0.30 with no monthly fee comes to $108.30 on a $2,900 month against Stan’s $143.10. You pay Stan for the link-in-bio storefront, bookings, and AutoDM, not for the lowest possible fee.

When Creator Pro pays for itself

Creator Pro costs $70 more per month than Creator and does not lower any fee. The upgrade only pays when a Pro feature reliably earns that $70 back: an order bump on every tenth sale, one affiliate-driven sale, or an email flow that recovers a single $99 customer.

The Pro list is genuinely commercial: discount codes, upsells and order bumps, payment plans with Afterpay and Klarna, an affiliate program, email broadcasts and flows, and ad pixels for Meta, TikTok, Google, and Pinterest. If none of those maps to a number in your head, stay on Creator.

Is Stan Store worth $29 a month?

For a creator selling digital products from social bios at $300 or more a month, yes: total costs sit between 3.7% and 4.9% of revenue at realistic volumes. Below $300 a month, percentage platforms are cheaper because $29 is a big share of small revenue.

• Choose Creator if you sell digital products, coaching calls, or courses from Instagram or TikTok and clear $300 a month.
• Choose Creator Pro only when upsells, email flows, or affiliates will visibly return the extra $70 each month.
