As we’ll explore later, you’ll have access to the top phrases and questions consumers have concerning the product you’re analyzing. Having this information available helps with keyword research as you can choose your keywords or phrases from the list.
Since you’ll also be able to pull reviews, you can see a product’s strengths and weaknesses via the type of review left by consumers. We recommend creating two separate columns or downloads for your positive and negative reviews.

How to Download and Use Review Insights?
Downloading and utilizing Review Insights is simple and straightforward. All you need is your Chrome browser, internet, and a few minutes to get started.
Installing Helium 10 Chrome Extension
- Go to Helium 10’s Chrome Extension page.
- Click on Download Extension.
- Click on the Add to Chrome button.
- Confirm you want to add Helium 10 to your browser by clicking the Add extension button.
- You’ll then be prompted to either sign in or sign up for Helium 10 before the download will start.
- Once you’re signed in, the download will be complete!
Accessing Helium 10 Extension
- Click on the puzzle piece in the upper right corner of your Chrome browser to open your extensions.
- You can pin Helium 10 to the top of your browser and click it to open it.
Connecting to Amazon
Before you can analyze product reviews, you’ll first need to connect your Amazon seller account to Helium 10 Chrome extension.
- To get started, click on the Connect to Amazon button in your extension’s pop-up.
- Sign into your Amazon seller account or register for an account.

Follow the process below to get started.
- Go to a product that you want to gather data on.
- Click on your Helium 10 extension.
- After it’s open, click on Review Insights at the bottom of the extension.
- A Review Insights window will appear with all the review data on the product you’ve selected. Here’s an example of what your screen will look like:
- Keep in mind, as you conduct your research, you’ll have to perform this insight analysis on every product page you want to gather information on.
Next, we’ll break down each section and explain how you can utilize it for your business.
The overview is your main screen when dealing with Review Insights. Think of it as your homepage.
Here, you’ll get snippets of essential information, such as ratings, top phrases, and top helpful reviews.
This section provides a glance at the product’s rating and how consumers feel about the product. You can even look at the reviews that fall into each rating category.
The top phrase section shows you what words or phrases consumers are commonly using when leaving reviews.
As you can tell from the image above, not all words or phrases add value to your research.
Be sure to pick through here and collect the words or phrases that pertain to your product.
Top Helpful Reviews
If you’re familiar with Amazon reviews, then you’ll know that other consumers can vote on said reviews on whether they found the review helpful or not.
In this section, you can gain insight into what exactly consumers are looking for in similar products.
Take the image above for example. Both of the reviews center around the quality of the umbrella, so you can assume that consumers are looking for high-quality materials in their umbrellas.
Now, you have a talking point. You can market your similar umbrella as high quality to attract more customers.
Chart of Reviews
If you’re more of a visual person, like myself, you can view a graph of when reviews were submitted. This graph can give you an idea of when consumers are making purchases and you can create a marketing strategy to cater to those months.
In this section, you can see all the reviews consumers have posted since the product page was published. Here you can filter for date ranges, ratings, specific words, etc., and then you can download the results.
Use the All Reviews tab to customize your data and gather exactly what you need.
Here, you will find all the questions and answers asked about the specific product you’re researching.
Utilizing these questions that consumers ask can help you market your product by including these answers in your product description.
The Review Analysis tab is where you will find popular words or phrases used in reviews.
This section includes the average rating for each word or phrase and expandable views of all the reviews that fall under that word or phrase.
Use this tool to help you narrow down exactly what people are saying and use those keywords in your product description or page.
If a product has variations, such as color, size, pattern, etc., then you can see which variation of the product received the most reviews and their average rating.
This tab is particularly handy if your product has variations, you can see which styles are most popular and what consumers want.
Tips & Tricks

On each tab of the Review Insights window, there will be a blue download button, usually in the upper right corner of the screen.
However, before downloading any data, we recommend filtering the results to what you are specifically looking for. This will help keep the information organized and easier to read.
Viewing Your Reviews
The great thing about Review Insights is that you can even gather valuable data on your reviews!
The process is the same as researching your competitors.
- Go to your product’s page.
- Click on the Helium 10 extension.
- Select Review Insights.
You’ll now be able to view and download your top phrases, any questions your consumers have, ratings, etc. This is a handy way to also see where you stand compared to your competition, your product’s strengths and weaknesses, and see how you can improve your product page.
