Product Pulse is ZonGuru's listing alarm, built for sellers with live SKUs to defend. It watches 17 fields on any ASIN you track and emails you when one moves, and the field that pays for the plan is Buy Box Winner. Skip it if you are still choosing a product, because Product Pulse is Seller plan only and Researcher accounts cannot buy their way in.
- Watches: 17 listing fields per ASIN, price through backend keywords.
- Alerts: email only, one per change, ticked on or off per field.
- Capacity: 100 monitored products on the entry Seller tier, 700 at the top.
- Gate: Seller plan. Researcher accounts cannot open the tool.
Since it ships on one plan only, budgeting for Product Pulse means budgeting for the Seller tier. The partner rate on this site takes 20% off any ZonGuru tier for life, and the per-tier math is in my ZonGuru coupon breakdown.
What Product Pulse Watches
Product Pulse tracks 17 fields on every ASIN you add and emails you the moment one of them moves. ZonGuru's public feature page advertises 15 alerts. The panel inside the app runs to 17, because Buy Box Winner and the adult-product flag sit on top of the marketed set.
Every field has its own checkbox, so you set the noise level. On your own ASINs I would run price, status, number of sellers, and Buy Box Winner. On the two competitors actually taking your sales, run title, bullets, images, and backend keywords instead.
Field | What the alert tells you |
|---|---|
Price | Your sale price ended or a rival undercut you |
Number of sellers | A new seller joined your ASIN |
Status | The listing flipped between Active and Inactive |
Title | Someone rewrote the listing title |
Brand | The brand name on the ASIN changed |
Rating | The average star rating moved |
Ratings | The count of star ratings moved |
Reviews | The total review count moved |
Bullets | The bullet points were edited |
Description | The description copy changed |
Images | New photos or lifestyle shots went up |
Dimensions | Dimensions changed, which moves storage fees |
Weight | Shipping weight changed, which moves FBA fees |
Backend Keywords | Search terms were added, with the exact string |
Category | The main buyer category changed |
Is adult product | The adult-product flag was switched |
Buy Box Winner | The Buy Box moved, and who holds it now |
Backend Keywords is the sleeper. When a rival edits their search terms, the alert hands you the exact string they added while they are still testing it.
Why Buy Box Winner Is the Alert to Turn On First
Buy Box Winner is 1 of the 17 checkboxes and the only one I would call load-bearing. ZonGuru sells Product Pulse on exactly this promise: get notified when someone tries to hijack your listing. Tick the box on a hero ASIN and an email lands when the Buy Box changes hands.
Losing the Buy Box is not a ranking problem. It is a revenue outage. Add to Cart routes to whoever holds the Buy Box, so a hijacker undercutting you by a few cents takes the orders while your listing still sits at the top of the results and your ad budget keeps spending.
Operator scenario: Say a hero ASIN moves 40 units a day at $32. A hijacker takes the Buy Box on Friday night and you notice on Monday from your payouts. That is roughly 120 units and $3,840 of gross sales handed to someone else, plus a velocity dip that drags organic rank for weeks.
Two more fields belong in the same alarm group. Number of sellers flags an unauthorized seller joining your ASIN before they win anything. Status flags the listing going inactive, the other way a day of sales disappears without warning.
How Many Products You Can Monitor
Capacity runs far higher than the 5-ASIN cap most write-ups still repeat. ZonGuru's current plan table lists 100, 400, and 700 monitored products across the three Seller bands. Keyword Tracker carries the same product counts at 50 keywords per product, so the two monitoring tools scale together.
- 1 to 20 active SKUs: 100 products in Product Pulse, 5,000 keywords in Keyword Tracker.
- 21 to 100 active SKUs: 400 products, 20,000 keywords.
- 101 to 1,000 active SKUs: 700 products, 35,000 keywords.
Active SKUs means SKUs that sold in the past 90 days, so your band is set by what is moving, not by how many dead listings sit in the catalogue. That same band sets your bill, and the split is on the ZonGuru SKU band pricing page.
How to Set Up Product Pulse Alerts
Setup runs about 5 minutes and splits into two halves people miss. First you pick the events per ASIN. Then you switch email delivery on in your account notifications. Skip the second half and Product Pulse records changes inside the app while your inbox stays silent.
Step 1: Add the ASINs You Want Watched
Open Monitoring & Alerts in the left navigation and choose Product Pulse, 1 of the 2 tools in that category. Paste your ASINs into the field and hit + Add. Rows take a moment to fill while ZonGuru pulls listing data from Amazon, so a blank row is not a failure yet.
Added products land on the same screen, under the field you typed into.
Step 2: Pick Which Changes Fire an Alert
Click the eye icon on a row to open the change list, then tick fields in the Notify Me on Changes column. All 17 arrive switched on by default, which is the wrong starting point and the reason a first inbox gets loud fast. Cut to 4 or 5 fields per ASIN.
Each ASIN keeps its own configuration. Open the Details icon on a tracked product to change its set later.
Your own listings can run the full alarm group, while a competitor you watch only for keyword edits fires on three fields and nothing else.
Step 3: Turn On Email Delivery
Click your username, then Notifications in the top right, and confirm Product Pulse carries a checkmark. This 1 toggle decides whether anything you configured above actually reaches you. Without it the events still record inside ZonGuru, and no email is ever sent.
The notifications page lists every ZonGuru alert type, and Product Pulse needs its own checkmark there.
The Seller Plan Gate Nobody Mentions
Researcher accounts get 6 tools: Niche Finder, Chrome Extension, Sales Spy, Easy Source, Keywords on Fire, and Listing Optimizer. Monitoring is not among them. Product Pulse sits with 6 other tools behind the Seller plan, alongside Keyword Tracker, Business Dashboard, My Products, My Orders, and both automators.
Researcher is built for people still deciding what to sell, and Product Pulse only has a job once there are listings to defend. To see it before committing, the free week on the Seller plan covers them all, and you can move between tiers later from Subscription Plan in your profile.
Where Product Pulse Sits Next to Keyword Tracker
Product Pulse and Keyword Tracker are the 2 tools in ZonGuru's Monitoring and Alerts category, and they answer different questions. Product Pulse watches the listing itself: price, images, Buy Box, backend keywords. Keyword Tracker watches where you rank for each buyer keyword, at 50 keywords per product.
Run both and you get cause and effect. Keyword Tracker shows the rank slide on your main keyword, and Product Pulse shows the competitor who rewrote their title and added three backend terms the same week.
If you arrived from an older article hunting the indexing tool, it moved rather than closed. My page on where the ZonGuru Index Checker went covers it, and the short version is that it is free now and Keyword Tracker carries the daily monitoring job.
Who Should Skip Product Pulse
Product Pulse is a competent email alerter with 1 genuinely valuable trigger, and it is still not a reason to upgrade on its own. There is no SMS, no push notification, and no webhook. Four kinds of seller should leave it switched off.
- You are still researching, not selling. No live SKUs means nothing to monitor, and Researcher's 6 tools cover that stage.
- You need alerts faster than email. Delivery is email only, so a 3am Buy Box loss waits for your inbox.
- You already run a dedicated hijack monitor. Duplicate coverage means you are really paying for the other 6 Seller tools.
- You track more than 700 products. The top SKU band caps there, and Helium 10 against ZonGuru is the matchup to read at that size.
Bundled with Business Dashboard, My Orders, Keyword Tracker, and the two automators, the Seller plan earns its keep. Product Pulse is the piece that stops a bad week becoming a bad quarter. My full ZonGuru review covers data accuracy and where the suite runs out of room.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Product Pulse included on the ZonGuru Researcher plan?
No. Product Pulse is Seller plan only. Researcher includes 6 tools and no monitoring at all. No standalone add-on adds Product Pulse to a Researcher account.
How many products can Product Pulse monitor?
100, 400, or 700 products, depending on your active SKU band. The entry Seller tier covers 100. Articles still citing a 5-ASIN cap are quoting ZonGuru's old plan structure.
What changes does Product Pulse track?
17 fields per ASIN, from price to backend keywords. ZonGuru's feature page advertises 15 alerts. The panel in the app adds Buy Box Winner and the adult-product flag.
Does Product Pulse alert me if someone hijacks my listing?
Yes, through the Buy Box Winner field. Tick it on your ASIN and ZonGuru emails you when the Buy Box changes hands, naming the brand that holds it.
How does Product Pulse send alerts?
By email only. No SMS, push, or webhook. You also have to enable Product Pulse under Notifications in your profile, or nothing sends.
Can I monitor competitor listings with Product Pulse?
Yes, any ASIN works, not only your own. Backend Keywords is the field most sellers point at rivals, because it returns the exact search terms they added.
Can I turn off the alerts I do not care about?
Yes, all 17 fields have individual checkboxes. Every one is on by default, which is why a fresh setup floods your inbox in the first week.
Which Amazon marketplaces does Product Pulse cover?
The 10 marketplaces ZonGuru supports, from amazon.com to amazon.com.au. That includes Canada, Mexico, the UK, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, and India. Singapore and the UAE are still on a waitlist.
