Note:

You can refine your search by setting a Title Density range in the Black Box filters before you begin your search.

#2 Get Title Density on Cerebro

Cerebro allows you to reverse engineer what’s already working for your competitors.

So, it’s like they’ve done the grunt work for you, and you can easily pick the most lucrative keywords to target.

Here’s how to find keywords with low Title Density to target from your competitor’s products:

  1. Get a Helium 10 account if you don’t have one (discounts here).
  2. Log in to your Helium 10 account.
  3. Go to “Tools,” then click “Cerebro.”
  1. Enter competitor product ASINs you want to re-engineer. You can enter up to 10 ASINs for bulk analyses.
  1. Then, click “Get Keywords.” Wait for the keywords page to load.
  2. Set your preferred minimum and maximum values under “Title Density.” I recommend a maximum Title Density of 5 to find truly lucrative options.
  1. Set other filters (or leave them if you want), then click “Apply Filters.”
  2. Scroll to the results, then click “Customize.”
  3. Uncheck metrics you don’t want to see for this analysis. You can uncheck most for now and leave “Title Density” so that it’s easily visible.
  1. Click anywhere on the main spreadsheet to return to the results.
  2. Find the Title Density of different keywords the products you’ve analyzed are ranking for.

#3 Get Title Density on Magnet

Magnet is a powerful brainstorming tool that uses your seed keyword to find relevant and related high-search volume keywords you might never have considered.

Luckily, you can leverage the same algorithm to find Title Density keywords related to your product. Hence, leapfrogging the competition with novel insights.

Here’s how to use Magnet to get Title Density:

  1. Log in to your Helium 10 account.
  2. Click “Tools,” then open “Magnet.”
  1. Choose “Find Suggestion” if you want the tool to brainstorm keyword ideas for you from a single seed keyword. Alternatively, select “Analyze Keywords” if you have a keyword list (up to 200 keywords) you want to scan through for Title Density quickly. I’ll choose “Find Suggestion” for this demo.
  1. Enter a base keyword, then click “Get Keywords.”
  1. Open the “Filters” menu, then enter your preferred value under “Title Density.” I recommend anything less than 5 to find truly profitable options.
  1. Set any other filter(s) you want, then click “Apply Filters.”
  2. Scroll to the search results and click “Customize.”
  1. Deselect metrics you don’t need, but keep “Title Density” checked so you can see the scores.
  2. Click anywhere on the spreadsheet to see the Title Density scores.

What’s an Ideal Helium 10 Title Density?

The ideal Helium 10 Title Density is a score of 5 and below. This means you should focus on keywords that appear five times or less in the product titles on the first page.

This gives you a fantastic opportunity to rank highly for the keyword and drive more traffic to your listing since only about half of the sellers on the first page have optimized for the keyword you’re targeting.

Conversely, a popular keyword with a high title density means many competitors already use it in their titles. You’ll find it challenging for your product to rank highly for that keyword.

Should You Focus Solely on Helium 10 Title Density?

While Helium 10’s title density metric is helpful, it’s not the only metric you should consider.

For example, optimizing a keyword with about ten monthly searches doesn’t make sense just because it has a keyword density of less than 5. In this case, you’ll be competing with any other listing just for ten potential clicks in a month, and that’s a lot of wasted potential for your listing.

Instead, look for high-traffic keywords with relatively low Title Density.

In the same vein, you should improve the quality of your listing to increase conversions

You can do this via the Helium 10 Scribbles. Otherwise, your poor copy may cause buyers to leave your product page even after clicking through.
