Helium 10 Cerebro, with its array of features, allows you to examine and pinpoint what makes a specific competitor’s product tick and then use that insight to outsmart the competition.

Identify High-Converting Keywords For Your Product on Amazon and Walmart

The Helium 10 Cerebro tool doesn’t only give you access to the specific keywords your competitors are using.

It also organizes and ranks those keywords to give you an idea of which keywords or keyword phrases will likely lead to high conversions for your product listing on Amazon and Walmart.

Strategize Your Product Launches

Fine-tune your product launch strategy by knowing in advance what keywords worked for your competitors and what didn’t.

When it’s time for you to launch your product on Amazon or Walmart, you can rest assured that you’re using only high-converting keywords or keyword phrases that can attract or engage your target audience, thanks to Helium 10 Cerebro.

Compete on Pricing

One of the cool things about the Cerebro reverse ASIN research tool is that it allows you to generate a list of the best-selling or most popular products competing with your brand.

You can then check your competitors’ pricing structure and set or adjust your own product’s pricing to directly compete with the best-sellers.

Optimize Your Product Listing to Drive Up Sales

Knowing what keywords are working for your competitors gives you a better idea of how to optimize your own product listing’s title and copy.

Incorporate only those keywords that can make your product more visible to shoppers browsing Amazon or Walmart. More visits can lead to more conversions, and ultimately, increased sales for your brand.

Features of Helium 10 Cerebro

Helium 10 Cerebro combines the best of both worlds by not only playing the role of a reverse ASIN research tool but also as a strategic Amazon or Walmart keyword research tool.

This is possible with the tool’s lineup of features that can be combined to great effect, depending on your specific requirements.

Total Keywords

The Total Keywords metric gives you a clear idea of the total number of keywords and keyword phrases associated with the ASIN you’ve inputted.

Helium 10 Cerebro takes it further by breaking down that total into three separate metrics: Sponsored Keywords, Organic Keywords, and Amazon — all summarized under the heading Keyword Distribution in the search results.

Word Frequency

word frequency

The Word Frequency feature summarizes how frequently each word associated with the product ASIN you searched for was used.

Since each word comes with a number, the summary gives you an idea of which associated keywords are used more frequently compared to others.

New Cerebro Data Columns

Helium 10 is continuously improving Cerebro’s features. Among the recent additions to the reverse ASIN research tool are these new data columns:

  • Match Type. This lets you know if a particular keyword is an Organic Keyword (letter O), Sponsored Keyword (letter S), or Amazon Recommended Keyword (letter A).
  • Amazon Suggested Rank. This column shows how high Amazon ranks the keyword in terms of keyword ranking and advertising.
  • Sponsored Rank. Tells you the position of the sponsored ad targeting the keyword in the search results.
  • Organic Rank. This shows you the ASIN’s position in regular organic search.

Frequently Bought Together

The Frequently Bought Together feature is useful to know what other products are frequently paired with the ASIN you searched.

By default, Helium 10 Cerebro only displays the top three products in the Frequently Bought Together box, but you can access the entire list by clicking the View Products Frequently Bought Together link.

Keywords for your PPC Ads

You can use the keyword list generated by the tool to optimize your Amazon or Walmart product listing. You can also utilize that same list to boost the visibility of your pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns.

Ranking Differences in Cerebro vs. Keyword Tracker

The Organic Rank metric in Cerebro may differ compared to another Helium 10 tool, the Keyword Tracker.

The variation occurs because Cerebro generates its organic ranking based on a general time frame covering a period of 30 days, 7 days, or 1 day.

To check the time frame used, hover your mouse over the Organic Rank value, and the information should display.

As for the Keyword Tracker tool, the Organic Rank number is generated based on a 1-hour- or 1-day-long time frame (depending on your subscription plan).

How to Use Helium 10 Cerebro to Research Keywords?

Start By Conducting a Keyword Search

Helium 10 Cerebro is a reverse ASIN research tool, which means you can conduct an Amazon or Walmart keyword search by inputting a product’s ASIN and checking its associated keywords.

However, if you want to do a regular Amazon or Walmart keyword search without using a product’s ASIN, you can use another Helium 10 tool, the Magnet.

To know more about Magnet, check out our Helium 10 Magnet Guide.

Find the Product’s ASIN

Find a product’s ASIN by checking the Product Information section on its Amazon page.

Note that a product’s ASIN typically consists of both numerals and letters.

Pro Tip:

You can find the ASIN within the product’s URL. Look for it right after “dp/.” In the example below, the ASIN is in bold fonts:

					https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Carry-On-Travel-Backpack-Black/dp/B01J24H2K0

Paste the Product’s ASIN in the Search Bar

Make sure you have copied the right ASIN. Paste it in the search bar just below the text that reads, “Enter up to 10 product identifiers to find their top-performing keywords.”

Select the Marketplace According To Your Country

Select Amazon Marketplace

Select the correct Amazon marketplace by clicking the left-most portion of the search bar.

You should be able to see the US flag with an arrow-down graphic beside it.

Click the arrow to show the options. Select the required Amazon marketplace.

Get Keywords

Click the Get Keywords button located at the right side of the search bar.

You should be able to see initial search results immediately after.

Distribution of Keywords

One of the initial results displayed is the Keyword Distribution section.

This contains, first and foremost, the Total Keywords value of your search.

As mentioned before, this total is further broken down into three other values, also shown after the Total Keywords number. They are Sponsored Keywords, Organic Keywords, and Amazon Recommended.

Check Your Word Frequency

To the right of the Keyword Distribution data, you should see the Word Frequency information section.

This summarizes all the other words associated with your product ASIN search. Note that each word comes with its own number value to denote its frequency rate.
