Helium 10 and Jungle Scout are popular and similar all-in-one Amazon seller tools.
As a result, new and even experienced sellers find it challenging to decide between the two.
That’s why we tested both software to compare them thoroughly.
Spoiler alert: Helium 10 narrowly wins here due to its wide range of features, ease of use, and support resources. Yet, it’s clear that Jungle Scout remains a go-to seller tool, especially for beginning Amazon sellers looking for routine seller software.

Here’s a snapshot of how Helium 10 compares to Jungle Scout.

Helium 10 vs Jungle Scout: Plans and Pricing
Helium 10 and Jungle Scout offer pricing spread across three tiered plans based on features. Here’s how the two compare:
Pricing Options | Helium 10 | Jungle Scout |
---|---|---|
Free Version | Available | Not Available |
Monthly Price | $39/mo to $279/mo | $49/mo to $399/mo |
Annual Price | $29/mo to $229/mo | $29 to $299/mo |
Discount | GET 25% OFF | Get 20% OFF |
Helium 10 and Jungle Scout pricing plans are spread across three tiers, with identical starting plans on the yearly payments. But that’s where the similarities end.
I’ve compared their monthly and yearly packages below for better understanding.
Plans | Helium 10 (Monthly) | Jungle Scout (Monthly) | Helium 10 (Yearly) | Jungle Scout (Yearly) |
---|---|---|---|---|
Starter Plan | $39/mo | $49/mo | $29/mo | $29/mo |
Middle Plan | $99/mo | $79/mo | $79/mo | $49/mo |
Top Plan | $279/mo | $399/mo | $229/mo | $299/mo |
Overall, Jungle Scout is still a competitive option compared to Helium 10, particularly at the mid-tier level, where Jungle Scout’s plan is cheaper.
While Jungle Scout’s monthly Starter plan is slightly more expensive than Helium 10’s equivalent, both platforms offer the same pricing when billed annually. Despite the similar annual cost, Jungle Scout provides more extensive access to its features.
For instance, Helium 10 restricts the Black Box research tool to 20 total uses on the Starter plan, with no monthly renewal. In contrast, Jungle Scout’s Starter plan allows 100 searches per month in its Product Database tool. This makes Jungle Scout’s Starter plan more attractive for users who need more flexibility in their research tools.
Nonetheless, the mid-tiers for both software are quite similar, offering full access to most tools and limited access to a select few.
However, based on affordability alone, Jungle Scout still comes out on top at this level, with its mid-tier plan costing $79 per month compared to Helium 10’s $99 per month.
One of the reasonable justifications for Helium 10’s pricing is that you can use its tools across 21 Amazon marketplaces with extensive feature support for 10. On the other hand, Jungle Scout supports only 17 marketplaces, with extensive feature support for eight (8) but ten (10) on the Jungle Scout extension.
Furthermore, neither Helium 10 nor Jungle Scout has a full-blown free trial.
However, Helium 10 has a minimal free version where you can test some features a few times, while Jungle Scout offers a 7-day money-back guarantee to all new users.
Jungle Scout offers more affordable pricing plans than Helium 10, fewer limits on the lower tiers, plus special discount packages for new users.
Jungle Scout vs. Helium 10: Features
Jungle Scout and Helium 10 are similar in that they are all-in-one Amazon software.
While they offer the same feature types, they employ different tools and approaches to those features.
But first, let’s look at the feature offering available at both providers.
Feature | Jungle Scout | Helium 10 |

At the basic level, Helium 10 and Jungle Scout offer similar features like product research, keyword research, and sales analytics. However, a deeper look at both software reveals that Helium 10’s features are more in-depth than those of Jungle Scout.
For instance, Jungle Scout’s Opportunity Finder is limited to finding products using filters (and minimal keyword inclusions/exclusions). This would suit a beginner who isn’t very familiar with product research and is looking for a simpler tool to start with.
On the other hand, Helium 10’s Black Box allows you to filter and research for products, keywords, competitors, specific brands, and even niches.
Also, both software’s keyword tools are similar, except that Helium 10 goes further to show keyword distributions and historical trends for a two-year period.
Moreover, Helium 10 supports keyword research for Walmart products, too.
Furthermore, although both applications offer in-depth sales analytics, Helium 10 pulls ahead with its unique Insights dashboard. This uses AI to analyze sales and competitors to recommend what to focus on and how to optimize sales.
Nevertheless, Jungle Scout beats Helium 10 with unique tools, like its Supplier database and tracker. These allow you to find and track reliable suppliers across Asia, Europe, and North America.
Conversely, the only supplier research in Helium 10 happens via an Alibaba integration, offering mostly Asian suppliers alone. The only advantage this has over Jungle Scout’s solution is its reach to 10 marketplaces, compared to Jungle Scout’s US market-only reach on the Supplier Database.
Furthermore, Jungle Scout offers in-built ad analytics, which you can’t find on Helium 10. You’ll have to splash extra on Helium 10’s Adtomic add-on for PPC ad optimization and analytics.
Finally, both tools have evolved enough to integrate AI into their processes.
Jungle Scout integrated AI in features like Listing Builder and AI Assist Chat, but Helium 10 went further. Now, it has a whole AI tool to assist sellers in launching a new product step-by-step, delivering insights on whether to launch and how to succeed.
In fact, Helium 10’s listing builder is better because it allows you to generate AI product images, something Jungle Scout doesn’t.
Both software suit Amazon sellers, but Helium 10 has more in-depth features and supports more Amazon marketplaces.
Helium 10 vs Jungle Scout: Data Accuracy
Picking the more accurate software of these two juggernauts can make all the difference in your Amazon business growth.
So, we ran in-house tests for three parameters and compared the results returned by both software with actual Amazon data.
Sales Estimation
We compared three random products’ sales numbers (from Amazon) with Helium 10 and Jungle Scout estimates.
ASIN/Provider | B00HNSSV0S | B07QM246FS | B074W8L14W |
---|---|---|---|
Amazon | 40,000+ | 9,000+ | 2,000+ |
Helium 10 | 64,544 | 11,908 | 1,883 |
Jungle Scout | 32,721 | 9,126 | 2,425 |
Even though Amazon provides approximations of these numbers, any tool you choose must also offer accurate estimates. That saves you the hassle of manually checking sales estimates on Amazon, and you won’t make essential business decisions using skewed data.
For instance, you can filter products with high estimated sales to establish strong demand or choose products with mid-level sales estimates to avoid tough competition.
Best Seller Rank (BSR)
We checked actual BSR numbers (Beauty & Personal Care Niche) for three random products against values returned by Jungle Scout and Helium 10 extensions.
ASIN/Provider | B00HNSSV0S | B07QM246FS | B074W8L14W |
---|---|---|---|
Amazon | 224 | 2,228 | 797 |
Helium 10 | 224 | 2,228 | 797 |
Jungle Scout | 224 | 2,228 | 797 |
Given that BSR is a vital feature (and filter) in some product research strategies, and some tools have been known to delay BSR reporting or supply wrong BSR values, it’s essential to ensure you can always trust the numbers from Helium 10 and Jungle Scout.
Hence, you can use the data generated to estimate average sales, understand competitor performance, track your product’s performance, or in other applicable research strategies.
You can learn more about the significance of BSRs in our Helium 10 BSR guide.
Keyword Rank
We compared the following products’ daily ranks for a keyword as they appear in an Amazon search against Jungle Scout and Helium 10’s results.
ASIN/Provider | B00HNSSV0S | B07QM246FS | B074W8L14W |
---|---|---|---|
Amazon | 1 | 3 | 5 |
Helium 10 | 1 | 3 | 5 |
Jungle Scout | 1 | 3 | 5 |
While you can manually check where a product is ranking for an Amazon keyword, such manual checks become unsustainable with tens to hundreds of ASINs and multiple keywords across each one.
Therefore, accurate keyword rank data saves you time and gives you quicker insights.
Helium 10 Accuracy
Helium 10 proved to be highly accurate for keyword ranks and BSR values. It slightly overestimated sales numbers but was accurate for the rest.
This means you can trust the data from Helium 10 if BSR is one of the core filters you use for product research or if you’re tracking your ASINs’ BSR values via the tool.
Likewise, you don’t have to manually track all the keywords a product is optimized for since Helium 10’s tool does that heavy lifting for you. In fact, it shows how many positions you lose or gain on each keyword and gives you an idea of what to bid under PPC to avoid overspending.
Unfortunately, Helium 10 overshot the sales estimates on a lot of products.
However, I noticed that sales estimates via the Chrome extension and the standalone estimations tool were slightly different, with the standalone tool being closer to Amazon’s approximations.
However, Jungle Scout had the same issue, so that cancels out.
Jungle Scout Accuracy
Our in-house tests revealed Jungle Scout to be highly accurate for all the tests conducted.
It estimated sales numbers very close to the actual numbers, while BSR values and keyword ranks were on point.
However, Jungle Scout didn’t update keyword ranks for a few products until later. I suggest keeping that delay in mind.
Jungle Scout wins this matchup because it was more accurate on the sales estimates than Helium 10.
Jungle Scout vs. Helium 10: Platforms, Interface, and Ease of Use
Helium 10 and Jungle Scout offer several ways to access their software.
In addition to the web app, you can use browser extensions and mobile apps. Both tools are well-designed and user-intuitive, making it easy for new users to adjust to them.
Jungle Scout | Helium 10 | |
---|---|---|
Browser Extensions | Chrome, Firefox | Chrome |
Mobile App | Not Available | Available |
Usability Level | Easy | Easy |
Fortunately, both software ships with many tutorials to make onboarding easy for new users. Yet, when placed side by side, Helium 10 has a bit of a learning curve compared to Jungle Scout.
One reason is that Helium 10 offers many more features than Jungle Scout, especially since almost every toolset has many sub-features and dashboards.
However, Helium 10 minimizes the learning curve by having a Learn button for every major tool, which leads to video tutorials, help center articles, and FAQs. Helium 10 also has demo dashboards and a custom-generated onboarding checklist for every new user.
Finally, you can curate a list of your most-used Helium 10 tools to make it easier to get around while navigating the software.
Still, Jungle Scout is much easier to get used to because of its simple design and fewer features. Plus, it has an AI assist chat functionality to help you navigate the software.
It’ll even recommend tools to handle tasks you query it on, as long as such tools are within Jungle Scout’s scope.
Finally, Helium 10 also has Android and iOS apps for easier access on the go, something Jungle Scout doesn’t offer.
Even though Helium 10 has a slight learning curve, the software has several measures to minimize it. Plus, its mobile app makes it more accessible than Jungle Scout.
Helium 10 vs. Jungle Scout: Support and Resources
It’s not uncommon to encounter issues while using software like Helium 10 and Jungle Scout. Let’s discuss both software’s support and resources to help in such cases.
Helium 10 Support and Resources
Helium 10 offers several options for one-on-one support. First, there’s email support, which allows you to get a response within a few hours. Then, the 24/7 live chat instantly connects you to an agent.
However, there’s no phone support.
Moving on, Helium 10 features a vast help center containing dozens of articles explaining all the software’s features plus how to get the best out of them. The software provider also runs an active YouTube channel featuring podcast episodes, webinars, and how-to videos.
In addition to these, new users receive a host of resources to minimize the learning curve. These include custom-generated onboarding checklists and Amazon courses such as Freedom Ticket, Amazon PPC Academy, and Exit Ticket. All users have access to Freedom Ticket regardless of their pricing tier.
Jungle Scout Support and Resources
The only way Jungle Scout users can reach support agents is via email support.
The response is pretty fast – only a few hours. Unlike Helium 10, however, there’s no live chat. And there’s no phone support.
Fortunately, Jungle Scout also offers a Help center containing articles and FAQs on all the tools and software and a YouTube channel that uploads how-to videos, podcasts, webinars, and case studies. Even so, its YouTube channel isn’t as regularly updated as Helium 10’s.
If you pick Jungle Scout’s most expensive plan, you get priority onboarding, something Helium 10 doesn’t offer. Having used the tool, I don’t believe you’re missing out on much by not getting this onboarding.
Finally, like Helium 10, Jungle Scout also offers Amazon seller courses for those who need guidance on growing a profitable Amazon FBA business.
Helium 10 wins this match-up because it offers more personalized support than Jungle Scout. Plus, it has many other resources that most users find essential.
Helium 10 vs. Jungle Scout: Final Verdict
The verdict is in. Helium 10 (check discounts) is an expansive all-in-one Amazon seller software with dozens of tools that target almost every aspect of Amazon selling.
Each tool is also developed to suit all levels of Amazon sellers and all business sizes.
On the other hand, while Jungle Scout is also an all-in-one software, its tools aren’t as in-depth as Helium 10. Therefore, it’s more suited for Amazon-selling beginners looking for an affordable, easy-to-use, and accurate alternative.
